The best ZoomInfo alternatives depend on what you need to replace: contact data, a sales engagement bundle, or the manual work between your tools. For a founder-led B2B team of 1–20 people, buying another large platform can leave the original problem intact. Start with the job, then compare the cost of doing it.
If you already use Sales Navigator, a spreadsheet and Instantly, separate missing contact data from missing workflow coordination. A database can address the first. A workflow tool can help with the second, but still needs sources and a sending service.
This is a vendor-authored guide from Coil. Coil is included as a workflow option, not a like-for-like ZoomInfo database replacement. The recommendations below are our assessment of fit, not measured rankings of data quality. All vendor facts and prices are as of November 3, 2026, from the linked official pages. Prices are in USD. Annual monthly equivalents are labelled; verify the final checkout or quote before buying.
Why teams consider leaving ZoomInfo: price, annual contracts and seats
The first question is whether your team uses enough of the package to justify it. ZoomInfo's pricing page says cost depends on features, licenses and credit usage, with add-ons and integrations also affecting the bill. It does not publish one universal subscription price. As of November 3, 2026, we could not establish a universal minimum seat count or contract term from that page.
That matters when comparing alternatives. Do not treat an unsourced annual price estimate as your likely quote. Ask for the total commitment, included seats, exports, API access and renewal terms in writing. If your offer requires an annual contract or more seats than you use, compare that full commitment with the alternative's equivalent usage, not just its advertised monthly number.
Annual contracts are a planning issue as well as a price issue. Before changing vendors, check your signed notice deadline, renewal date and permitted use of exported records. A replacement subscription does not end an existing contract. We do not assume all ZoomInfo customers have the same terms.
A practical reason to change is a mismatch between the package and the work: you need verified emails for a narrow account list, but you are evaluating a broader sales intelligence purchase. A practical reason to stay is that your team already depends on the package and a sample from a cheaper source fails your actual requirements. Test the same target accounts before making that decision.
ZoomInfo alternatives comparison table
The table separates data products from workflow products. Each vendor link supports the pricing and capability details below, checked November 3, 2026. “Not verified” means we did not obtain a reliable paid amount from the public page; it does not mean the product is free.
| Tool | Our suggested fit | Public pricing checked | Main buying question |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apollo | Contact data plus sequencing | Free plan; paid amount not verified | Do you need its engagement tools too? |
| UpLead | Contact exports for an existing stack | Essentials $99/month, monthly billing | Is the included contact allowance enough? |
| Lusha | Individual contact lookups | Free: up to 40 credits/month; paid amount not verified | How many phone reveals will you need? |
| Hunter | Email finding and verification | Starter $34/month equivalent, $408 billed yearly | Is email the main missing field? |
| Snov.io | Email prospecting plus outreach | Starter $39/month before annual discount | Will you use the sending features? |
| Cognism | A sales team evaluating mobile data | Custom quote; Standard and Pro include 5 seats | Does the package fit your team size? |
| Clay | Multi-provider enrichment workflows | Free plan; Launch starts at $185/month in vendor FAQ | Can you budget both Actions and Data Credits? |
| Coil | Founder-directed, agent-operated workflows | $0 during open beta; provider costs separate | Do you need orchestration rather than a database? |
1. Apollo: compare the database and sequencing bundle
Apollo's pricing page, checked November 3, 2026, lists Free, Basic, Professional and Custom plans. It describes Basic as including email sequencing and core integrations. The accessible page did not expose a reliable paid price, so we have not reused an older price from another comparison.
Our fit assessment: start here if you want to evaluate contact data and sequencing together. If you already have a sender you intend to keep, compare the data workflow alone before paying for overlapping engagement functions. Ask how your planned exports and phone searches consume credits.
The same page says all seats in an account use the same plan. Check what happens when one operator needs a feature that everyone else does not. For a broader shortlist, read our Apollo alternatives guide.
2. UpLead: a clear contact-export starting point
UpLead's pricing page, checked November 3, 2026, lists Essentials at $99 per month on monthly billing with 170 credits. It defines one credit as one unlocked contact for download or CRM export, including email and mobile direct dial access. It also lists a seven-day trial with five credits.
Our fit assessment: useful when you want a defined monthly data allowance to feed a stack you already operate. A small trial is a way to inspect the records and export process, not enough evidence to conclude that coverage is good across your entire market. Test your hardest target segment before increasing usage.
Ask which fields are present on your sample and how quickly the allowance runs out under your actual workflow. Do not assume every record contains every field you need.
3. Lusha: contact lookups with different email and phone costs
Lusha's pricing FAQ, checked November 3, 2026, lists a free plan with up to 40 credits per month, a browser extension and basic prospecting access. An email reveal uses one credit; a phone reveal uses five. We did not verify a paid subscription amount from the public page.
Our fit assessment: consider it for a small number of targeted lookups before committing to a larger data package. Model phone usage separately from email usage. A credit allowance is not a contact count when the two actions have different costs.
For a calling-heavy process, compare a sample of numbers against your requirements and request the paid price for that mix. The free allowance alone is not a useful basis for estimating a team's monthly bill.
4. Hunter: when the missing data is email
Hunter's pricing page, checked November 3, 2026, lists Starter at a $34 monthly equivalent with $408 billed yearly. The page describes email finding, verification and outreach, and includes unlimited team members. Its free plan lists 50 credits per month.
Our fit assessment: shortlist Hunter when email discovery and verification are the main jobs. Treat the annual equivalent as an annual purchase, not a cancellable $34 monthly subscription. If you need a wider sales intelligence package, write down those requirements before comparing prices.
Run a sample from known target companies through the intended process. Track missing addresses and the review work needed before sending. We have not independently measured Hunter's accuracy or delivery performance.
5. Snov.io: email prospecting with outreach in the same product
Snov.io's pricing page, checked November 3, 2026, shows Starter at $39 per month before the annual discount. It includes email finding, verification and outreach capabilities. The page states that LinkedIn automation account slots are purchased separately.
Our fit assessment: evaluate this when you are willing to reconsider both prospecting and sending. If your current sender already meets your needs, price only the data work you would move. Adding another campaign interface can create more administration instead of less.
Compare credit use, recipient limits and any extra account slots with the same monthly workload you use for the other candidates. A low base price does not establish the final cost of a multichannel process.
6. Cognism: evaluate mobile data with a team-sized quote
Cognism's pricing page, checked November 3, 2026, offers Standard and Pro packages with five seats included and tailored pricing. It describes phone-verified mobile numbers and on-demand mobile verification; ask which features your quote includes.
Our fit assessment: worth evaluating when phone outreach is central and you can test the data against your target accounts. Five included seats make this a different purchase from a single-user contact finder. It is not automatically a cheaper ZoomInfo replacement.
Request a sample relevant to your geography and buyer roles, plus the total cost for the people who will actually use it. We make no claim that one vendor has better European or global coverage without a comparable sample.
7. Clay: replace a single-source process with enrichment workflows
Clay's pricing page, checked November 3, 2026, describes multi-provider waterfalls and separate Actions and Data Credits. Its FAQ lists a free plan and Launch starting at $185 per month. Use the pricing calculator or checkout for your chosen billing cycle and usage; the page has several configurable amounts.
Our fit assessment: choose this category when your problem is assembling data across sources. Assign someone to maintain the workflow and its usage budget. A workflow subscription and a contact database subscription are not equivalent purchases.
Before switching, price one complete enrichment path, including records that need several attempts. If you are still choosing between a database and a workflow tool, our Clay alternatives guide covers that distinction.
8. Coil: agent-operated workflows on top of your sources
Coil gives a founder's agent access to supported prospect sources, recipes and saved run state through an authenticated API and JSON CLI. You direct the work and inspect the result. Human admins manage credentials and publish recipes; an agent can draft workflows and run permitted published work.
Coil is not a contact database and has no first-party email sender. A supported Sales Navigator source uses Apify. Supported downstream work can use a configured SmartLead handoff or an admin-published webhook. Coil does not ship a general Instantly connector, so an existing Instantly user should verify the required handoff rather than assume a native integration.
As of November 3, 2026, Coil is $0 during open beta. Provider charges remain separate. We do not promise a future paid price or savings relative to your ZoomInfo contract.
Our fit assessment: evaluate Coil if your source and sender choices are mostly settled, but you want your agent to build and operate repeatable work between them. If you need a replacement database, evaluate a data vendor first. The agent API overview explains the supported interface, and the AI outreach tools comparison places it alongside the other parts of an outbound stack.
How to choose a cheaper ZoomInfo alternative
Build a shortlist around one repeatable task. For example: find the relevant buyer at a target company, obtain the required contact field, review the result and export it to the next tool. Give each candidate the same input set. Include your difficult markets and roles, not just easy-to-find software executives.
Record the usable results, missing fields, duplicates, credit consumption and manual corrections. Calculate total subscription and provider costs for your expected volume. Include the people required to maintain the process. These are evaluation steps, not claims about any vendor's performance.
Keep your existing suppression records and ownership rules during a change. Before importing exports elsewhere, check the applicable contract permissions. Move one workflow first, confirm the receiving system has the expected fields, then decide whether the broader replacement is justified.
FAQ: ZoomInfo competitors and alternatives
What is the best ZoomInfo alternative for a small business?
There is no universal winner. Our recommendation is to test a data product if missing contacts are the problem, and a workflow product if coordination is the problem. Use the comparison table to shortlist by job and commitment, then compare results on your own target accounts.
Are there free ZoomInfo alternatives?
As of November 3, 2026, Apollo, Lusha, Hunter and Clay list free plans. Their allowances and included features differ. Coil is free during open beta, but it does not supply a replacement contact database and external providers can charge separately.
Is Apollo cheaper than ZoomInfo?
Apollo lists a free plan, while ZoomInfo describes pricing based on licenses, features and credits, as checked November 3, 2026. That does not prove which paid offer is cheaper for your team. Compare written quotes or checkout totals for the same seats, exports and required features.
Does ZoomInfo require an annual contract or a minimum number of seats?
We could not verify a universal rule on the official pricing page as of November 3, 2026. Ask for the term, minimum commitment and renewal notice period in your specific offer. Do not plan a cancellation from a third-party summary of someone else's contract.
Can Coil replace ZoomInfo?
Coil can be part of a different outbound setup, but it is not a direct database replacement. Use it when you want an agent to operate supported workflows on top of sources. Keep or choose the data and sending services required by that workflow.
