before you start.

Which agents can I use?

Reviewed skills are available for Codex, Claude Code, Hermes Agent, and OpenClaw. You can also connect a compatible agent through Coil’s API or CLI. Coil does not connect directly to the general ChatGPT or Claude chat apps.

Can I use Coil without an agent?

Yes. You can build lists, review prospects, and send selected leads to SmartLead from the dashboard. You and your agent work with the same data.

Will my agent have admin access?

No. Agent API keys have member permissions. Human admins control provider credentials and publish recipes. Your agent can draft recipes and run the work its permissions allow.

Does Coil send emails?

Coil adds selected leads to your SmartLead campaigns. SmartLead handles email delivery, warm-up, and campaign reporting.

Which accounts do I need?

Start with a Coil account, then connect the data providers your chosen recipe needs. Add SmartLead if you want to send prospects to a campaign. You pay for those provider accounts separately.

What does the beta cost?

Coil is free during beta, with no credit card required. Your AI, data provider, and SmartLead costs remain separate. Post-beta Coil pricing has not been set.
